Strictly Come Dancing – Week 8 Preview

There were 166 responses between Saturday, November 13, 2010 8:16 PM and Tuesday, November 16, 2010 11.45 PM. Data is un-weighted.

Our Key Takeaways;

1) With a near perfect score of 39, Scott Maslen bounces back from an under-par performance the week before. It’s not just the judges he impressed – 39.8% of responders named Scott as their favourite celebrity dancer on the night.

2)  In terms of overall popularity, Matt Baker continues to pip Scott for the front spot with 32.7% of responders naming him as their favourite to win the series. Scott comes second with 25.5% and Kara Tointon comes in third with 23.6%

3) As you’ll see from the data below, it remains tight at the bottom, which sets us up for an exciting elimination this weekend. Felicity Kendal was in the bottom two last week, which would normally qualify her for a bounce in support this week, however her fan base might not be big enough in this case. Ann continues to enjoy more support than is represented in our data due to the “joke” or “novelty” factor not represented in our polling base. Patsy Kensit also continues to struggle to find support.
