Brand and Reputation Research
Know what people think of you, why, and what would change it. Brand and reputation research for companies, institutions and places. We measure awareness, perception and trust among the audiences that matter to you (customers, the public, business leaders, investors, journalists or policymakers) and show which messages and actions move them.
What we do
- Brand tracking: repeat waves measuring awareness, consideration, associations and preference against competitors, with campaign effects read between waves
- Reputation and stakeholder audits: what specialist audiences think of you: business leaders, institutional investors, journalists, MPs and officials, your own members or customers
- Market entry and location research: demand, perception and competitor evidence for a new market, a new site or a funding case
- Message and campaign testing: which claims, framings and creative routes land with which audiences, before you spend on media
- Place and destination branding: how residents, visitors, diaspora and investors see a city or country, and the brand platform that evidence supports
How we work
Most brand projects combine a nationally representative survey with the specialist audiences that shape reputation: business leaders by online panel or telephone, investors and journalists by short incentivised surveys, customers and members through your own lists. Depth interviews and focus groups explain the numbers; segmentation shows which groups to prioritise. Studies run in the UK or across several countries, with results delivered as tables, a written report or a live dashboard.
Recent work

- A FTSE 100 drinks company: a repeat survey of Members of Parliament, tracking year on year how MPs see the company and its brands, its economic and export contribution, and how parliamentarians prefer to engage with business.
- WA Communications: a survey of business journalists on what makes them write about a company, published as Shaping Policy, Shifting Perceptions.
